Lawrence T. Pugh, Sr.
Founder & Lead Math Tutor
Every student deserves a clear path to confidence. That belief inspired me to create LAMP Learning Solutions—a space where learners receive personalized, online support to master math concepts and rediscover their potential.
As a professional math tutor, I hold Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from Tennessee State University and Lane College, and a Master’s degree in Business Analytics from Villanova University.
Math came naturally to me as a student, but I quickly realized that isn’t true for everyone. When my older sister struggled through her college Probability & Statistics class, I found joy in helping her succeed—and that moment solidified my purpose. Since then, I’ve dedicated my career to helping students transform frustration into confidence through patience, structure, and data-driven instruction.
At LAMP Learning Solutions, my mission isn’t just to teach math—it’s to light the way towards lifelong learning and help every student see their own potential shine.
And while LAMP began with my passion for teaching/tutoring, it truly came to life because of my wife. “Beside every good man is a phenomenal woman”, and she has been exactly that—encouraging me to turn my love for tutoring into LAMP Learning Solutions so I could help even more students.
